FC Wichita is pleased to announce the hire of Corey Ouellette, a Friends University soccer alumnus who served 6 years as a men's assistant coach before coaching club soccer with the Wichita United FC 2013 Coyotes. Ouellette will take on a lead position in the 2013 girls age group under the FC Wichita ECNL Regional League banner, alongside current FC Wichita coach Brandon Finkeldei. Team identification is now underway.
Ouellette, who's been coaching in the 2013 age group for 4 years, has been part of the FC Wichita pathway since 2021 as the clubs worked together on a need basis to allow playing opportunities for players in the 2013 & 2014 age groups. Now, Ouellette brings his recent experience to lead the PRE-ECNL age divisions ahead of the 2023-2024 season.
"I'm extremely excited and grateful to Blake Shumaker and FC Wichita for the opportunity that's been presented to our players and families. It's going to give the girls a unique and competitive pathway to continue to grow their talent and love for the game. We look forward to helping pave the way and set a standard for PRE-ECNL Regional teams." said Ouellette.

Wichita United director, Jorge De La Torre, says he can't wait to see what this does for all parties next season.
